Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Announces Free Series of Workshops – How to Maximize Your Federal Incentive Dollars with Group Proxy

The state’s Medicaid EHR Incentive Program provides incentive payments to eligible professionals, eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals (CAHs) as they adopt, implement, upgrade or demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. But did you know that by applying as a group, your organization could receive more in federal dollars than if you registered each eligible professional (EP) separately? Now you can find out more!

These half-day workshops will focus on helping organizations understand how to define a group and use the Group Proxy methodology to calculate patient volume. Program experts will use real-life case studies documenting how to prepare and submit applications using this method. In addition, HCA Health IT Project staff will be onsite and available to answer your questions.
Is this workshop right for my organization?

Workshops are relevant for organizations with more than one “eligible professional”. The Medicaid EHR Incentive Program is, as defined by CMS rule, open to the following professionals if they meet the following minimum 90-day Medicaid patient volume thresholds:

• Physicians
• Pediatricians
• Dentists
• Certified Nurse Midwives
• Physician Assistants (Pas) practicing at an FQHC/RHC led by a PA
• Nurse Practitioner

Who should attend?

Staff at provider offices that would assist and manage provider participation in this program as well as those who would be asked to assemble data from EHR or practice management systems to
determine percentage of Medicaid clients in the payer mix.
If you are not sure if you qualify, see the white paper at http://hrsa.dshs.wa.gov/HealthIT/WP/PatientVolume.pdf or contact HealthIT@hca.wa.gov.
Don’t leave federal incentive money on the table! Sign up now for the workshop in your area. Space will be limited to the first 100 registrants and pre-registration is required.
