2/3/2013 – (Sacramento, CA) Xpio Health, a Washington State based technology and consulting firm specializing in behavioral healthcare, announced today that the California Institute of Mental Health (CiMH) has awarded them the contract to provide technical support services to the 34 member counties of CiMH.
The California Institute for Mental Health (CiMH) was established in 1993 to promote excellence in mental health services through training, technical assistance, research and policy development. Local mental health directors founded CiMH to work collaboratively with all mental health system stakeholders. The commitment to collaboration has led the board to expand board membership to include consumers, family members, and other interested persons representing the public interest.
Xpio Health’s technical support contract will enable CiMH member counties to work directly with Xpio Health on a variety of IT projects including EHR implementations, meaningful use, report writing services, data analytics, data exchange, and population health and disease registry initiatives. “This is a very important initiative for the State of California small counties” states Xpio Health’s CEO, Thad Dickson. “CiMH is a key partner for the small counties of California and is interested in proactively addressing the technical challenges of implementing EHR’s in a behavioral healthcare setting. The partnership between CiMH and Xpio Health will provide the small counties access to industry leading technical resources to address the many challenges of implementing complex enterprise IT systems in the health and human services sector.”
As a part of Xpio Health’s initial engagement with the small counties, Xpio will be deploying an IT bench-marking assessment to determine technical infrastructure capabilities across the counties in order to develop a strategic plan to prioritize and address key technical challenges across the diverse array of organizations.
